Direct Reports: eCommerce Growth Manager, eCommerce Growth Strategist, Growth Marketing Strategist and Portfolio Manager

This company accelerates companies transition to become a global online success. They evaluate, select, validate and scale through growth marketing strategies and performance capital investments. Their expertise spans across all digital performance channels as well as all the foundations an eCommerce business requires. Essentially they partner with CEOs who have the capacity and appetite to scale their business with online at the forefront

Purpose of the position
To grow amazing portfolio teams of experts and the growth and profitability of each investment partner. Ultimately, you own the number as it pertains to online sales commissions.
As such, you will manage the (eCommerce investment) growth marketing division of the company. You are responsible for driving results against forecast, adapting and adjusting strategy based on insights, capital availability, and ensuring the experts within your teams have all the tools to achieve our desired outcomes.
Whilst the division may provide a number of ‘overlay’ functional roles, who report directly, its ‘core’ is based upon highly functioning Growth Marketing (Portfolio) teams. Growth Marketing teams in effect manage global strategy, execution, and compliance of all our Investment Partners. These teams should comprise the best of the best eCommerce executives.
Overall company success is a function of investments that successfully move to from Pilot to Scale phase, within the Growth Marketing division

  • Lead the way for the company to become the #1 employment destination for growth marketing experts in Asia
  • Build out a high performance growth marketing team
  • Create daily opportunities for teams to come together to discuss (insights, wins, challenges, technologies, competitors) new experiments or extending what works into new markets
  • Deliver positive ROIs from all digital channels (monetisation) and ensure the reports are both accurate and robust
  • Chief analytics interpreter and decision maker to ensure all investments are on track to vault online sales, globally
  • Ensure all team members are effective and outcomes focussed
  • Full funnel marketing in digital - be an active senior leader in the business supporting our efforts to stay at the forefront of digital marketing
  • Learn optimisation and buyer behaviour in different countries, age groups and trends
  • Deep knowledge of our F6 investment criteria, Pilot-Scale model (‘house’) and Scale Data capability
  • Lead conversion efforts beyond basic digital marketing efforts into partnership acquisition marketing ie database sharing, website and digital asset leverage, celebrity influencer arrangements
  • Manage Scale Media requirements and extend key partners and solutions across all global markets
  • Manage all Outsourcing and Enablement teams, and extend key suppliers across all global markets
  • Make recommendations to Marketing, Sales & Operations that would better support your team
  • Manage escalations and obstacles as they pertain to our external partner CEO’s, staff and suppliers
  • Present investment activities, major success and major challenges, to our Investment Committee monthly as they pertain to company forecast
  • Ensure all committed deliverables per investment partner are achieved
  • Investment partner compliance which includes awareness of Terms and Condition variances and ensure staff adhere with key steps in the management of each investment partner eg reporting
  • Support the extension of best practice eCommerce investing, particularly the Chief Investment Architect (CIA) and CEO
  • Build and maintain general awareness within the division of our investment, marketing and capital capability as it pertains to our modern day investment firm
  • Work effectively with cross-functional Leaders (Marketing, Investment Officers, Capital, Operations, Executive and Owners)
  • Knowledge of our systems, investment criteria, policies, values and materials and holding staff accountable
  • Ensure teams maintain awareness that we are investment firm, focussed on conversion, aiming to grow (scale), traditional agency success measurements rarely will apply
  • Participate in professional development activities to maintain professional currency and enhance skills
  • Take responsibility for identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives and for driving and supporting change
  • Upholds WHS policies, procedures and legislative requirements and demonstrates active leadership in controlling hazards/ incidents and managing the risk to safeguard the health, safety and wellbeing of all who may be affected

Ideal Qualifications and Experience

  • A Player in Media
  • 15+ years on digital marketing
  • Knowledge of all digital marketing and cross section of related technologies
  • Superior people management and team building experience
